I have download the bios from hp site: sp34600.exe I have read some of the posts here about bios recover i think i have undestud the main of the procedure, but i have some questions: This USB stick also gives you access to the "System Recovery" feature in the bios if you erased the UEFI partition. Shut down your laptop, plug the USB stick, hold win + B and power on.Place both of these files on the usb stick at Hewlett-Packard/Bios/Current.You will get two files from phoenixtool.bin files, pick the one with the number closest to the number from step 3. Run phoenixtool on the bios you wish to recover.Obtain the latest BIOS update for your laptop. If you can, on your laptop find the "System Board ID" in the bios.Execute this under windows and create a HP_TOOLS UEFI boot usb stick.

Find the "HP Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) Support Environment" for your laptop model from the HP website. This also is the most-correct BIOS recovery procedure. You will then be able to get into the BIOS with no password. This is the general process I use to flash my BIOS updates on my HP laptops as none of them run Windows. And allow the program to update the BIOS. Now manually run the Insydeflash.exe program (within the Winflash folder).make sure the power is stable though because you will be flashing the BIOS update. This will disable the Battery checking - N.B. You might like to also find the Batter圜heck=1 (under section ) and change that to Batter圜heck= 0.In that folder is a settings file - mine was called 'platform.ini'.Back in the File Explorer window with the Winflash folder now copied to Downloads - open that folder. Then swap back to the Winflash info window and press to close the Winflash program.Copy it over to somewhere else (Downloads?).

There should be a Winflash folder in there. While the above info window is showing, swap to a File Explorer window (or start File Explorer) and goto %TEMP% or C:\WINDOWS\TEMP.It (should) get to the point of saying that the battery is not at correct level.Run the downloaded Flash exe file (it might be zipped). With the powercord plugged in, remove the battery.
